Information We Collect

When you register for a class or submit a contact form on our website, we collect the following personal information:

  • Full name, email address, and phone number
  • Mailing address
  • Employer or organization (optional)
  • Payment information (processed securely through Stripe — we never store card details)
  • Communication preferences (email and/or SMS consent)

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Processing class registrations and payments
  • Sending class confirmations, reminders, and updates
  • Communicating about schedule changes or cancellations
  • Sending marketing communications (only with your explicit consent)
  • Issuing AHA certification cards upon course completion
  • Improving our services and training programs

Communication Consent

During registration, you may choose to opt in to receive communications via email and/or text message (SMS). These options are separate, and you can choose one, both, or neither. You can opt out at any time by contacting us.

Essential communications (class confirmations, reminders, and cancellation notices) will be sent regardless of marketing preferences, as they are necessary for service delivery.

Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information. Payment processing is handled securely through Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. We do not store credit card information on our servers.

Health Information

Our CPR training courses may involve physical activity. While we do not collect detailed medical records, participants self-certify their ability to participate in hands-on training. Any health-related information shared during courses is treated with the highest level of confidentiality.

Data Retention

We retain registration and certification records for the duration of the applicable AHA certification period plus an additional year for administrative purposes. Contact form inquiries are retained for up to 1 year.

Your Rights

Under California law (CCPA), you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect and how it is used
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell your data)
  • Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights
